01. Disable Windows Ink Workspace With Group Policy
This is an easy and fast way to disable Windows ink Workspace on your computer. Once you have done this process you cannot use Windows ink workspace anymore.
First, open the “Run command” using Windows key + R. Then type “gpedit.msc” and hit Enter to open the “Local Group Privacy Editor“.
Once open the “Local Group Privacy Editor” window, Select Computer Configuration.
Now navigate and expand Administrative Templates> Windows Components> Windows Ink Workspace.
Open the Allow Windows Ink Workspace setting and select Enable option.
Then Under that section, expand and select Disabled from the drop-down menu.
You should restart the computer after doing these steps. Then the Windows ink Workspace will be disabled.
02. Disable Windows Ink Workspace with the Windows registry
The second method is a little bit difficult than the first method. However, using this method you can disable Windows ink Workspace if you don’t need it. Before doing this process, make sure to backup your computer.
First, open the “Run command” using Windows key + R. Then type “regedit” and hit enter to open the Windows registry.
Then navigate this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> Policies> Microsoft> WindowsInkWorkspace.
If you cannot find the WindowsinkWorkspace folder, you have to create a new one. To do this:
- Right-click on the Microsoft Folder (key) and navigate to “New“.
- Then select the key to creating a new folder.
- Rename the new key as WindowsInkWorkspace and click Ok.
Now you need to create a new key (value) on the right-side. To do that, right-click on the right side and navigate New. Then click on the DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Name the new key AllowWindowsInkWorkspace and click Ok. Double click and check the value is set to 0.
Now restart the computer.
